Ariston Cooker & Oven Repair — Built-in and Freestanding

Burner clicking without igniting, yellow flames blackening your pans, or a built-in Ariston oven baking unevenly? Call 16062 — our 24/7 hotline — and a cooking-appliance specialist arrives: freestanding cookers, built-in gas and electric ovens, and integrated hobs. Free inspection, genuine parts, a written 6-month warranty — and every visit ends with a full gas-leak test, because an open-flame appliance leaves no room for compromise.

⚠️ Clear gas smell in the kitchen? That is an emergency, not a repair booking: close the cylinder or mains valve immediately, open the windows wide, and absolutely no lighters, cigarettes or even flipping electrical switches — a tiny spark is enough. Leave the kitchen and call 16062 from another room — gas-leak reports get immediate priority around the clock.

Most Common Ariston Cooker & Oven Faults: Symptoms, Causes & What You Can Try

Our fixed method: symptoms, causes ordered by likelihood, one safe step, and when a technician is needed. With gas the rule is stricter: try only what is listed — opening any gas valve or joint without a technician and a leak test afterwards risks the whole home.

Burner not igniting — clicking with no flame

Symptoms

the spark clicks but the burner does not light — one ring or all of them.

Causes

burner ports blocked by food or damp after cleaning, a dirty or cracked spark plug, the burner cap seated wrongly after washing, or the gas valve itself.

Try safely

clean the burner and cap, dry them fully, seat the cap correctly, and compare with another ring. If one ring insists or all are dead with gas flowing — a technician will check the plugs and valves and tune the spark.

Weak yellow or orange flame that blackens pans

Symptoms

yellow flame instead of steady blue, soot building on pan bottoms, a different burning smell.

Causes

incomplete combustion — the air-gas mix is off, partially blocked ports, injectors needing calibration, or a change of gas type (cylinder/natural) without adjusting the injectors.

Try safely

clean and thoroughly dry the burner only. A persistent yellow flame is not cosmetic — it produces more carbon monoxide and wastes gas; tuning it back to steady blue is precision technician work.

Oven dying the moment you release the knob

Symptoms

the oven flame lights while you hold the knob, and dies instantly or seconds after release.

Causes

a tired or displaced thermocouple (flame-safety sensor) not sensing the flame, so it shuts the gas protectively — meaning the safety works but the sensor needs replacing, or its capillary tube.

Try safely

hold the knob fully for 15–20 seconds before releasing (the thermocouple needs time to heat). If it keeps dying — usually the thermocouple, a safety part we replace genuine in one visit; never bypass it or wedge the knob.

Oven baking unevenly — one side done, one side raw

Symptoms

trays come out burnt on one side and raw on the other, or the base cooks while the top does not.

Causes

a dead convection fan (fan ovens), an uneven oven burner, a drifted oven thermostat so real temperature differs from the dial, or a door gasket leaking heat on one side.

Try safely

listen for the fan while running, try a slightly higher setting and watch, inspect the gasket visually. Persistent unevenness = fan, thermostat and burner check — and after repair we verify actual baking before leaving.

Grill not working or weak

Symptoms

the top grill burner does not ignite at all, or lights weakly and will not brown.

Causes

the grill valve or its switch, grill-burner ports blocked by accumulated grease — the most grease-prone spot, its own thermocouple, or on electric models a burnt grill element.

Try safely

clean the grill burner of grease when fully cold. Persistent weakness or no ignition = valve and element check — and port clearing with proper tools, not wire that widens the holes.

Oven door not closing tightly, or heat on the cooker body

Symptoms

the door creeps open by itself, noticeable heat on the adjacent counter or wood, or shifted door glass.

Causes

weakened or bent hinges, a worn door gasket leaking heat, glass shifted from its mounts, or side insulation in built-ins needing review.

Try safely

inspect the gasket and check nothing is caught in the door path. A leaking door ruins baking and heats neighboring cabinets — new hinges and gasket bring the oven back like new.

Ariston Built-in Oven Repair — A Specialty Not Every Technician Knows

Ariston is one of the strongest built-in brands in modern Egyptian kitchens — integrated gas and electric ovens and hobs. Built-in is not like a freestanding cooker: removing and refitting inside kitchen units takes training so neither the appliance nor the woodwork gets damaged, and ventilation around it follows rules. Our technicians are trained for exactly this:

  • Removing and refitting the oven or hob from the kitchen unit with proper tools — no scratched stainless, no damaged wood.
  • Electric built-in faults: top/bottom and fan heating elements, thermostats, and the external cooling fans that protect the cabinetry.
  • Gas built-in faults: burner, thermocouple, auto-ignition and temperature regulator.
  • Integrated hobs: dead central ignition, a ring not lighting, flame-safety cutting out, or glass and trim spare parts.
  • Setting clearances and ventilation per installation standards — hot neighboring units are usually an installation issue, not a fault.

If your built-in oven or hob shows any of these, call 16062 and say "built-in" — we'll send the technician who specializes in exactly that.

We Repair Every Ariston Cooker & Oven Type

  • Freestanding cookers in all sizes from 60×60 to 90×60 — standard and Italian burners, with oven and grill.
  • Built-in gas and electric ovens: elements, fans, thermostats and timers — with professional removal and refitting from the kitchen unit.
  • Built-in gas hobs 60 and 90 cm: ignition, spark plugs, flame safety, and glass/stainless spare parts.
  • Digital models with touch panels and timers: programming, board and sensor faults.

5 Technician Tips That Extend Your Cooker's Life

  1. 1Clean burners and caps only when fully cold, and dry them completely before refitting — post-cleaning damp is the top cause of clicking without ignition.
  2. 2Never use steel wool or metal pins in burner ports — they widen and give an uneven flame forever; a soft brush is enough.
  3. 3Replace the gas hose and clamp every two years even if they look fine, and bubble-test the joints after every cylinder change.
  4. 4Leave the oven door slightly open after use until cool and dry — it protects the gasket and hinges from early wear.
  5. 5The moment you notice a yellow flame on any ring, book a calibration — it is wasted gas and carbon monoxide in your kitchen, not just cosmetics.

Ariston Cooker & Oven Repair FAQ

What is the Ariston cooker service number?

The short number 16062 — 24/7 for all governorates, with immediate emergency priority for gas-smell reports. You can also WhatsApp the model and fault to 01050887010 for a free initial diagnosis.

Do you repair built-in ovens in place, or remove them?

Most built-in faults are fixed with the oven in place. When removal is needed, we extract the appliance with dedicated tools — no scratches, no cabinet damage — then refit and re-set its clearances exactly. This is a specific specialty of our technicians.

The oven dies when I release the knob — what fixes it?

Usually the thermocouple (oven flame safety): a sensor that shuts the gas if it cannot feel the flame — the safety works, the sensor is tired. Hold the knob 15–20 seconds before releasing; if it still dies, the thermocouple needs a genuine replacement — a quick one-visit fix, and never bypass it.

Do you repair integrated gas hobs?

Yes — central ignition, spark plugs, flame safety, valves, plus glass and stainless spare parts for Ariston 60 and 90 cm hobs, with a full leak test after any repair.

When is the gas-leak test done, and how much is it?

On every visit without exception — a bubble test on every joint, hose and valve, plus oven and burner safety checks. It is free with any service visit whatever its reason; home safety is not an add-on for us.

Are you the official Ariston agent?

We are a specialized Ariston service center, not the official agent — repair with genuine parts and a written 6-month warranty is our specialty. Under the purchase warranty, use the entity on your certificate; out of warranty, we reach you faster with the same part quality.

How much does an Ariston cooker or oven repair cost?

It depends on the fault and parts: the inspection is always free and the full final price is announced before any work — decide not to repair and you pay nothing. No hidden call-out fees.
