Weak freezing — food softening, ice cream melting
freezing exists but weaker than before, bags softening at the edges, the freezer running non-stop.
a leaking door/lid gasket — the most common and cheapest cause, thick ice insulating the walls, a drifted thermostat, low refrigerant, or overloading in one go.
set the thermostat colder, paper-test the gasket, defrost if ice exceeds half a centimeter. Persistent weakness = gas-pressure and thermostat check with gauges.
